How to invest in Capital Direct I Income Trust

There are three ways you can invest in the Capital Direct I Income Trust:

  • As a Direct Investor with Capital Direct Financial Ltd. (CDFL)
  • Through select online brokerages
  • Through a Financial Advisor or Portfolio Manager

Direct Investors - Setup Guide

Direct Investors should first contact our Investment Team.

We will happily answer any questions you may have and provide an overview of the Fund.

Then, we’ll walk you through our suitability assessment to better understand your time horizon and ensure that the Fund aligns with your investment goals.

Capital Direct I Income Trust is eligible for TFSA, RRSP, RRIF, RESP and FHSA accounts.

If you’re interested in placing your investment in one of these accounts, our team will gladly support you through this process.

Once we have confirmed your details and documentation, we’ll handle the rest.

Online Brokerage - Setup Guide

Class C units are available through select Online Brokerages: Questrade, RBC Direct Investing and CIBC Investors Edge Premium.

If you are currently using one of these accounts and would like to invest with us, please get in touch with our Investment Team.

Here, they’ll walk you through our subscription agreement and suitability assessment to confirm contact details and ensure your investment goals are aligned with the Fund.

When we have confirmed these details, we will prefill the subscription agreement for you, once you have signed, we’ll submit the document to your Online Brokerage directly.

Your Online Brokerage will then call you to confirm the trade.

Advisor, Portfolio Manager or Fee-Based Accounts - Setup Guide

Class C units are also available through Financial Advisors. If you are interested, please contact your financial advisor.

Class F units are available through a Portfolio Manager or a fee-based advisor.

How to place your trade

The trade date is the first day of the month.

Once you’ve determined how you want to invest with us, our Investment Team will confirm a few details with you before placing the trade:

Payment Option

The method you would like to use to deposit your funds.

Investing Goals

Did you want to receive your Quarterly Returns as cash or enrol in our Distribution Reinvestment Plan (DRIP)?

The Unit Class

Signed Documents

Our team will prepare all documents for you to sign.

 
 
 

When those items have been confirmed, your trade will be processed on the trade date.
